Card Benefits

If you frequently spend money on things like travel, dining out, gas stations, streaming services, and phone bills, the Wells Fargo Autograph Card is a fantastic personal card. You will start benefiting from the card as soon as you use it, because it has no annual fee and no limits on the rewards you can earn.

Another approach to maximize the value of the Wells Fargo Autograph Card is to take advantage of the welcome bonus. You can win a one-time bonus of 20,000 points, which is worth $200. It is best to time your application with a major purchase you are planning in order to qualify for the welcome offer.

When it comes time to claim your rewards using Wells Fargo Rewards, owning the Wells Fargo Autograph Card gives you more choices, such as spending your points for a purchase, gift cards, statement credits, travel, or donations to particular charities or causes.

Sign-up Bonus

If you spend $1,500 within the first three months of opening your account, you will qualify for a welcome bonus offer of 20,000 points on the Wells Fargo Autograph Card. That is worth $200 at a redemption rate of one cent per point.

How to Earn Rewards

Wells Fargo Autograph Card offers 3X rewards on some of the most frequent purchases you may make. You earn 3 points for each dollar on purchases such as dining bills at restaurants, travel expenses, gas purchases, transit, phone plans, and popular streaming services. Plus, you will earn 1 point for each dollar spent on all other purchases.

This combination of 3X rewards categories is fantastic. The Autograph card may be the only rewards card that awards 3X points in all of these popular everyday categories at the same time. Given that some families spend as much on their phone plan as they do on eating out, the card’s bonus category for phone plans is also distinct and very valuable. You won’t need to keep track of or sign up for rotating categories because these categories are also eligible for 3X rewards all year long.

An Example Calculation of Rewards

For example, if you spend $18,000 on purchases that qualify for 3X rewards and $12,000 on everything else in a year, you will receive a total of 66,000 rewards points, redeemable for $660 cash back for the year. You can use our credit card rewards calculator to find out how much rewards you may receive.

How to Redeem Rewards

You need to have at least 100 Rewards Points or $1 in Cash Rewards in your rewards account in order to redeem for purchases. Rewards can be redeemed either manually or automatically depending on the award. Only increments of $25 in cash rewards or 2,500 points can be used to automatically redeem points.

Your possibilities for redemption include a paper check in the mail, a deposit or credit to a qualifying redemption account, or cash via a withdrawal from a Wells Fargo ATM. Using a Wells Fargo debit or ATM card, you can redeem directly to an eligible Wells Fargo Account in increments of $20 in cash rewards or 2,000 points.

The card’s lack of travel transfer partners may be its biggest drawback for frequent travelers. A wide variety of airline and hotel transfer partners are available on competing travel cards from issuers like Chase and Capital One, permitting you to transfer your points to another loyalty program and occasionally get more value out from them. In fact, some point transfers with these cards can potentially double the value of your points. Your Autograph points have a fixed amount of $1 per point.

Additional Travel Benefits and Features

No foreign transaction fees

Because there are no foreign transaction fees with the Wells Fargo Autograph Card, it makes for a great travel companion. This card could help you save money while you are on vacation since these fees typically account for around 3% of any international purchase.

Rental car coverage

The Wells Fargo Autograph Card will cover any loss or damage to the car, up to $50,000, provided you charge the whole cost of the rental car to the card and refuse the rental company’s insurance. It’s crucial to keep in mind, however, that this insurance is secondary for reservations in the United States, which means that it won’t begin to pay out until after your primary auto insurance has been used. This coverage is the main one for purchases
of rental cars abroad.

Roadside assistance

Roadside Dispatch, a program that provides roadside help, is included with the Wells Fargo Autograph Card. You must pay to utilize the program, but you will always have access to towing, tire changes, jump starts, and other emergency vehicle services.

24/7 Visa Concierge service

The Wells Fargo Autograph Card comes with Visa Concierge service, which can help you do anything from booking flights to getting event tickets and dinner reservations. You can call 24 hours a day.

Cell phone protection

You can get up to $600 in cell phone protection if you use the Wells Fargo Autograph Card to pay your monthly cell phone bill. It has a $25 deductible and covers both theft and damage to cell phones.

Additional Information

Through My Wells Fargo Deals, a merchant-funded platform that offers cash back on dining, entertainment, and shopping, cardholders can receive cash back as a statement credit in addition to earning points on purchases and having access to built-in zero liability protection.

The Autograph card allows you to accumulate respectable reward points for travel, but unlike some other travel rewards cards, like The Platinum Card from American Express, it doesn’t provide any extra perks, like lounge access or cost-free day passes to airport lounges. Nevertheless, several of the card’s normal perks, such as cell phone insurance, rental car collision damage waivers, travel and emergency support services, Visa Signature concierge service, and access to the luxury hotel collection, are still very beneficial.

Fees

While a nice feature, the Wells Fargo Autograph Card has a 0% APR on purchases for 12 months from account opening after account opening. After the intro period ends, the go-to rate of 19.24%, 24.24%, or 29.24% variable applies, which is a bit low even for a rewards card with no annual fee.

If you frequently travel abroad, the card’s lack of a foreign transaction fee is a huge plus. A 3% foreign transaction fee is applied by many cards.

Required Credit Rating

Customers with good credit are the target users for this credit card. For consideration when applying for the Wells Fargo Autograph Card, a FICO® Score of at least 670 is advised. One of the many variables taken into account during the application process is your credit score.

Is this the right card for you?

Consider acquiring the Wells Fargo Autograph Card if you’re looking for a reliable credit card
with no annual fee that offers high rewards for regular purchases. The earning rate, welcome bonus, and low introductory APR on purchases contribute to make this credit-card offer more enticing.
