Children’s Museum of Houston

Founded in 1980, Children's Museum of Houston connects children and families with experiences that they can customize to suit their own learning interests. These experiences are designed to offer foundational learning opportunities, provide parents with the support they need in their role as the first teachers of their children, and reinforce learning that occurs in school.

Experience a whole town where kids call the shots, run the stores, run the government, solve mysteries, and decide which grown-ups get paid allowance. Enlist as S.E.C.R.E.T. undercover spy agent and crawl through laser tunnels, crack codes, and thwart evil villains who are trying to take over the Museum! Build robots, climb a three-story tower, and tackle a one-of-a-kind suspended challenge course.

The museum serves an audience of more than 1 million children and families each year. In addition, every year the outreach programs of the museum serve 250,000 people.

The Children's Museum of Houston has been rated "America's No. 1 Children's Museum" by Parents Magazine, listed among Forbes, LA Times and USA Today's "Best Children's Museums in the U.S.," Culture Trip's "Museums and Landmarks to Visit in Houston," and one of "Houston's Must-See Museums" by Travel Channel.
