25,000 bonus miles after first use of the card
New applicants for a United Mileage Plus Explorer Card are entitled to a 25,000 bonus miles after your first use of the card. First use includes using your account for purchases, balance transfers, or any checks that are used to access your account; cash advances are not included. The 25,000 bonus miles can be redeemed for a round-trip ticket anywhere in Canada and in the U.S. except for Alaska and Hawaii.
5,000 bonus miles after add a person to the account
And as a first time card holder, the user will not be required to pay the $95 annual fee. After two months, if the cardholder adds another person to the account, they get 5,000 bonus miles automatically.
