Earning Reward Points

The Ultimate Rewards Program from Chase offers easy ways to accumulate and redeem rewards points. You earn 25,000 bonus points, which can be redeemed for $250 in cash, after you spend $3000 in 3 months. After that, you can earn points whenever you use your Chase Sapphire Card for your purchases. You earn 1 point for each dollar spent on the card and earn 2 points when you use the Ultimate Rewards to book airline tickets and hotel stays. And if you decide to shop online from chase's website, you can earn up to 10 points per dollar with over 300 merchants, so if you are going to make a purchase anyway, you may want to earn extra points by checking out the Ultimate Rewards Mall first. With Chase Sapphire, you will receive unlimited rewards points that do not expire. You won't find a cap on how many points you can earn, and you won't encounter blackout dates when you're ready to book a flight.

Redeeming Rewards

Redemption is very straightforward. You can either use your points for a statement credit to your account or you can choose to get a Rewards Check as cash back. Cash redemption starts at as few as 2000 points for $20 cash. Here is what you need to do, once you get your Chase Sapphire Card, register an online account with chase.com for online account management to redeem your points. When you redeem points, you can redeem 10000 points for a $100 check mailed to you at no cost. You also have options to redeem 2000 points for $20, 2500 points for $25, 5000 points for $50, etc. You may also redeem points for gift cards from familiar retailers like Best Buy, JC Penney, and others; or if you prefer, you can redeem the points for merchandise from Amazon.

No Annual Fee

In addition to the easy $250 bonus and generous cash back on airfare purchases and hotel accommodations, Chase Sapphire Card has no annual fee. It is a perfect credit card to earn $250 bonus and to use for travel and daily purchases.

APR for purchases and balance transfers

APR for purchases and balance transfers is set at as low as 13.24% variable, while the APR for cash advances is understandably higher.

Travel Benefits and Purchase Protection

You can use Chase Sapphire to book on most major airlines, and you are not restricted to a certain seat, class, or destination. You will have the ability to pay for your airline tickets with a mix of points and credit through the Ultimate Rewards from Chase. The Ultimate Rewards also throws in trip cancellation insurance. You can use ultimate rewards to find hotels, resorts, car rentals, getaways, restaurants, and tickets to entertainment venues in a wide range of locations. In addition, you will find that Chase Sapphire Card comes with a concierge and Global Lifeline if you need help while traveling or need travel accident insurance and identity theft protection. You can also enjoy purchase protection, extended warranty protection, and return protection, as you would from other Chase credit cards.

While there are a lot of rewards cards out there, Chase Sapphire distinguishes itself by offering excellent cash bonus of $250, a flexible rewards program for points and cash back (in Ultimate Rewards Program from Chase), a free tool for debt management (in Blueprint), premium travel benefits and low interest rates, all with no annual fee. Chase Sapphire Card is a consumer credit card, not a business credit card. Anyone with a good credit rating can qualify for it.
